Sorry we've been busy new parents the past few weeks and have neglected our blog!
We decided to name the Puppy Penelope. Penelope Alexis to be precise. =) She is quite a blessing. I love how excited she gets every time I come home from work and every time we play with her.
There have been a lot of firsts for Penelope. Her first vet visit was painless. She was so excited to meet all of the new people at the office. We have to take her to get her first shots next week. I don't think she'll like that much! At the vet she got her nails cut for the first time. She was really patient as the nurse taught me how to do it.This past weekend we took Penelope for her first walk on the beach. She loved it! We met some other dogs and people on our walk. She is quite friendly!!
We also gave Penelope her first, second and third baths. I am kind of a nut about baths! She does great in the tub and even lets me blow her hair dry when we're done. =) There is not much better than a clean smelling puppy!Penelope also was able to come to work for the first time and meet all of my coworkers. I let her off her leash and she followed me down the hallways as we made stops at everyone's offices. =)
It's been a great few weeks with Penelope! Grant and I have been pretty exhausted though. Penelope gets up at least once a night to go outside and we are constantly watching her when we're up so that she doesn't go to the bathroom inside. She's getting really good about going to the bathroom outside. And she's learned how to go up and down the stairs with ease.We are very proud parents!
