Sorry - We've been slacking!

Since we got the Wii posting on here definitely suffered. Sorry! However, I have mastered Brain Drain on the Nintendo! The weekend we got the Wii Grant's brother Steve, his wife Meagon and their son Tyler came to visit. It was a beautiful weekend here. We took them to the beach and hung out. It was really nice to see them.

Two weeks later Grant's parents drove up to visit. We met up with them, Steve, Meagon and Tyler for dinner. It was really nice to get together as a family! I hope that we can do it again soon!

The Ladies!

Just this past weekend Grant and I ventured out west to Texas! This was our first ever trip to the Lone Star State. We saw a few cowboys and a few baseball games. We went out to Texas as a guest of a good friend of mine from Nashville. His company, Third Coast Sports, organizes faith-based major league promotions including Christian concerts, professional sports player testimonies, Veggie Tales character appearances and Biblical bobble-head giveaways. It is a really amazing concept.

Houston was an interesting city. Grant and I were able to walk around for a little bit on Saturday morning. There wasn't too much going on. I saw big buildings for every major oil company, a cool aquarium (that was closed), some bars and a macy's (all of which were closed). We found a Texas-style cafe for lunch and then headed to to the ball park for the Faith Days concert and game. The Astros lost both of the games, but they were both fun to watch. I was able to see a friend from grad school who works for the Astros. It was really nice to catch up.

That's all for now. I am off to DC and Chicago this weekend to visit some of my closest friends. Grant is left to fend for himself and hone his Nintendo skills!

  1. funny. when she (mom) was in S. Carolina she didn't mention that Grant is the favorite son. I heard a different story.
