3 Year Anniversary Trip to VEGAS!

Over Memorial Day weekend Grant and I made a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary and meet up with some friends from Utah.

We stayed at NYNY and were able to catch a few shows including "LOVE" and "LE REVE." I really liked "LE REVE." It was similar to "O" with a lot of water involved.

We also ate at some great restaurants including Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill and Joe's Stone Crab. While we weren't eating or seeing shows we walked the strip, spent time at the pool, gambled and hung out with our friends Natalie and Ryan.

It was a wonderful trip!! The only bad part is getting back used to East Coast time!!

Sorry I haven't updated in a couple of weeks. It's been crazy! Here is an update.

May 8th: Grant and I went to dinner and to see Wicked with our good friends Erin & Billy. Dinner was great at The Chart House and the show was AMAZING! We had great seats! I was glad to take Grant to a show that he actually liked after taking him to see RENT and to the symphony. =)

May 9th: Erin's Bridal Shower in Lake CityErin had a great shower with friends and family. It was nice to see some familiar faces and meet some of Erin's family members from Lake City.

May 15: Grant and I went to a Jacksonville Suns baseball game with our friends Jeff, Andrea, Stephanie and Sean. We went to a bar afterwards. I had to leave for a bit to pick Jordan and Renee up at the airport and bring them back to meet our friends. It was a fun night!

May 17: Erin's Bachelorette Party in Jacksonville Beach

Erin made a beautiful bachelorette! We had a wonderful day starting at 10A at the beach, continuing to a surprise lingerie shower at the hotel room, dinner at Bonefish and a fun night on the town with the ladies!! We went to several bars finally meeting up with Billy, Erin's Fiance who was on his bachelor party the same night. It was a fabulously fun night for all of us!! What is a Bachelorette Party with out games! We played Bar Golf (see the blue scorecard ~ Blue is one of Erin's wedding colors). The goal was to have a high score -- kind of the opposite of real golf.

May 21: VEGAS! Post to be added later this week. Get excited! :)

Back Home

I just got back from a work trip to Indianapolis, IN. It was so nice to see some old friends from when I first started at Lilly, especially my good friend Natalie. She is now 17 weeks pregnant and glowing!! I cannot wait to meet Baby T when he comes out!

It was even nicer to come home to Grant and Penelope. When I walked through the door at home Penelope ran up to greet me! She was ADORABLE! Grant got me a dozen pink roses because he missed me so much (I was gone since Monday). It was so nice to be able to come home to our house and to my wonderful husband and Penelope!

This is going to be a fun-filled weekend! Tomorrow night we're going to the Jacksonville Suns game (minor league baseball) and Jordan and Renee are coming to visit. Then, Saturday is Erin's bachelorette party. I am definitely looking forward to the weekend, but I have to get through work tomorrow first!

Work on the backyard

Grant's been busy working on the back yard this weekend while I have been busy cleaning the house and going to the beach. :)

Here is Grant in the back left corner of the yard. He's taken down a lot of old trees/bushes and cleaned up the stones/rocks around the pond that we've let dry up.

Here is the right corner of the yard.
Here are all of the flagstones that Grant's gathered from the yard. We're going to reuse them to create a patio.
