Part 14: Babies' First Cruise!

We had traveled from Jacksonville-Washington DC-London-Amsterdam-Barcelona. Now it was time to board our boat!! This is the part of the trip I was most looking forward to, what I had worked so hard for in 2011. I remember my company had sent out a postcard with a photo of the boat and wishing us all luck in getting there at the end of the year. I put that postcard in my car. I looked at it before my calls. I looked at it while I was driving home considering and then making that extra call and not getting home until 7:30pm only to have computer work to do once arriving there. I remember working on my holiday break...going into the field for that one last, critical call. All of those moments had paid off. Grant and I were prepared to set sail with the sales leaders of my company.

We traveled from our hotel to the ME hotel in Barcelona. We had a quick snack. Then, we were given a number, 154. This was our assigned number for the week. Why do we need an assigned number, you may ask.   Because my company hired private, professional photographers to take photos for us on the boat and at each excursion!! We haven't gotten those photos in the mail yet, but I cannot wait to see them! They're sending us to CDs. The first will have all of the scenic photos the photographers took during the cruise and the second will include our personal photos. If you know me, you know I love pictures!

We got to the dock, checked in and boarded the boat.

This was much faster than other cruises because my company chartered the entire yacht and only filled it about half way. So it was a smaller group.

We found our room. It was amazing. The biggest room for a standard balcony room on a cruise that I'd seen. The bathroom had two sinks, a shower and separate tub! The fridge was stocked with sodas and water, the bar with red wine and vodka (our preselected drink options). There was also champagne on ice and homemade truffles.

Our room :)

Our bed and the walk in closet! I was so excited to unpack for more than 2 nights!!

Our refreshments :)
Everything was personalized...even the welcome screen on the in-room TV!
Grant on our balcony
Me and the twins on our balcony (11 weeks 3 days pregnant)

 The bathroom :)
 One of the restaurants
A cool shot of the spiral staircase
 Out by the pool
 The main pool
 Roof top putting green

 Grant just chillin'
The room where we had our awards gala...with a special guest...pics to come soon!
 The only dog on board
Grant in the casino...his favorite spot.

We explored the boat. It was beautiful. We got a tour of the spa. I could live on this boat. For now, it was going to be one week to remember.

  2. Now THAT is a cruise ship I'd like to go on! Your room is amazing. That bathroom is bigger than most cabins :) Were you on ahead of everyone else? The boat looks empty? What's this about a gender party?????

  3. Today we went in for our 17 week 2 day ultrasound. I asked the sonogram technician if she could find out the sexes, write them down and seal it in an envelope. She did. I took the sealed envelope to our local bakery and they are making two cakes...one for each baby and will dye the white cake either pink or blue. We are inviting over friends and family and will find out the genders together. I will take a video and post it along with photos! Get excited...I know I am!!! It was torture not peeking...but for now it's only the baker and the sonogram technician who know the genders of our babies. :)

  4. We were some of the first people on the boat...and yes, it was pretty empty. My company chartered the whole boat and only filled about 1/2 of the cabins. So no lines at the bar...always a spot at the pool...it was nice!
